Your Holden Family Reunion schedule
Get ready for a reunion filled with good times, family stories, and plenty of laughs. Here's a look at what we've got planned for our Holden Family Reunion in Gisborne on the 26th and 27th of February 2027.
We’ve designed everything for a relaxed, family-friendly vibe, focusing on reconnecting and celebrating our shared history.

Friday: welcome drinks by the bay
5pm - 8pm
Kick off the reunion in style with a casual evening by the beach. This is your chance to catch up with family and friends in a relaxed setting, overlooking the beautiful Poverty Bay.
When: Friday 26 February, from 5pm - 8pm
Where: Gisborne Yacht Club on Kaiti Beach Road (just past the Gisborne port)
What to expect: Food carts will be onsite for dinner purchases at your own leisure. Some drinks will be provided, but feel free to BYO. There'll be a short welcome at 6pm.
A casual, family-friendly evening, perfect for reconnecting and enjoying the stunning views.

Saturday morning: history and farm tours
Spend your Saturday exploring our family’s farming heritage and the beautiful Gisborne countryside. It's a day designed to connect with our roots and enjoy the rural landscape.
When: Saturday 27 February
Where: Kaharau Sale Venue, 410 Godwin Road (off Riverside Road)
SCHEDULE
9:30am: Welcome and health & safety briefing
9:45am: Discussion on Holden Farming history in the area
10:30am: Morning tea
11am: Farm tour (approximately 1- 1.5 hours)
12:30pm: Picnic lunch provided by Poverty Bay Hunt Inc.
2pm: Farm tour (approximately 2 hours)

Farm tours will be guided and suitable for 4WD vehicles, side-by-sides, and 4-wheeler bikes.
A draft family tree will be available for everyone to peruse, check, and note additions. This will be printed post-event.
We hope the atmosphere to be relaxed and engaging, focusing on sharing family history and enjoying the farm experience.

Saturday evening: story-telling and dinner
The day wraps up with an evening of good food, a few drinks and plenty of storytelling. It’s the perfect way to share memories and create new ones together.
When: Saturday 27 February from 4.30pm

EVENING SCHEDULE
4:30pm: Happy hour with a Q&A (storytelling) time, including family photos
6:30pm: Dinner provided by Poverty Bay Hunt Inc.
9pm: Festivities conclude.
